Eric enrolled himself in Akedemi Seni Kebangsaan when a friend insisted he sent in an audio demo for the auditions. He studied the guitar under the famous Farid Ali. He also did composition and jazz harmony with the Imam Brothers. As a young student, Eric performed in various five star hotels gaining immense knowledge. He enjoys playing jazz rock, world music, R&B and Blues. Eric has played for a variety of artist in concerts and recordings He was one of the judges for the the Yamaha Asian Beat Competition in 2007. He has composed and arranged scores for various dance and theatre productions with The Actors Studio, Five Arts Centre and The Hong Kong Dance Festival. He is also an accomplished teacher who challenges the creativity of his students mind and performing standards .Currently he is actively performing around the Klang Valley in Bangkok Jazz, La Bodega, Alexis, 789 and various other clubs and restaurants in town. He is well sort after by local and foreign artist to do live shows and recordings. Ning Baizura, Kris Dayanti, Adibah Noor , Erra Fazira , Anuar Zain, Remy Inuendo , Hannah Tan, Datuk Sharifah Aini , Deja Moss and Siti Nurhaliza are to name a few. He also played in the 2007 Penang Jazz Fest accompanying LeonardTan.
